          • Serbia and Slovak Republic in Euro-Atlantic Integration: Lessons Learned

          • Published jointly by Centre for Civil-Military Relations and Centre for European and North Atlantic Affairs (CENAA) Bratislava, "Lessons Learned" constitutes first comparative study of its kind available to wider audience in Serbia. It was published December 1st 2008 and is available in English language only.

        • Papers focused on best practices and lessons which Slovakian policy and decision makers and civil society learned over the last 15 years.

Special attention was paid to similarities and differences between Slovakia and Serbia and identification of common points worthy of examination; the role of civil society in security related issues and policies; the interplay between security sector reform and democratization; the dynamics of Euro Atlantic integration and its major obstacles and economic, social and political price; institutional arrangements; and ways to win public support for Euro Atlantic integration, and regain the public’s trust in security institutions more generally.

On CENAA's side authors included Robert Ondrejcsak, Elemir Necej and Vladimir Tarasovic, while from CCMR Filip Ejdus, Marko Savkovic, Zorana Atanasovic and Djordje Popovic contributed with their opinions and insights.
