      Based on the expert jury evaluation and opinions expressed by citizens on the BCSP Facebook page, TV report "Can Women Be Generals?" by journalist Biljana Jovicic (RTS) won the first place in the competition organised by BCSP and UN WOMEN. Radio report by Slobodan Malesev (Radio Active) "First Female Warden of Men's Prisons in Serbia" and the TV broadcast by Ivana Konstantinovic (B92) "Vucic: Maybe in 2014. the General Will Be a Woman" shared second place. Third place was taken by the regional TV Lav reporter Biljana Kuzmanovic for the report "The participation of Women Members of the Serbian Army in Multinational Operations.”

      Altogether, 14 media pieces by 11 reporters competed for prizes. Among participants were reporters and editors of national and local TV stations and leading daily newspapers, but also journalists form local radio stations, as well as a popular weekly magazine. Most journalists who have signed up for the competition were the participants of the training organized by BCSP in March this year. Also, most of the media reports that were sent to the competition were based on study visits BCSP organized for journalists from all over Serbia.

      Reports have attracted great attention of BCSP Facebook page visitors and received a total of 113 likes, thus the issue of gender equality in the security sector reached nearly 6,000 users of the most popular social network.

      The final word in the selection of awarded reports had an expert jury that included:

      1 Milivojevic Snjezana, Professor at the Faculty of Political Sciences, University of Belgrade;

      2 Nikolic Vesna, President of the Multi-sectorial Coordinating Body for the Implementation of National Action Plan for the Implementation of the UNSCR 1325 in Serbia;
