    • Third Security Research Forum Belgrade-Pristina-Tirana

      Belgrade Centre for Security Policy (BCSP) in cooperation with Kosovar Centre for Security Studies (KCSS) and Institute for Democracy and Mediation (IDM) is organizing the conference with the aim to discuss latest public opinion research findings on the Brussels dialogue, the future of relations within the Belgrade-Pristina-Tirana triangle, and human security in each community.

      The presentation of latest public opinion research findings will be organized on 31st October 2013 at 10:00 in the Media Centre (Belgrade, Terazije 3, 1 floor, The Great Hall).

      The working language will be Serbian and English. Simultaneous translation will be provided. The number of participants is limited due to the seating capacity, and the participation must be confirmed no later than Wednesday, 30th October by email office@bezbednost.org or phone 011/3287-226.

      The conference will begin with the welcoming speech which will give Norwegian Ambassador in Belgrade Nils Ragnar Kamsvèg and the President of the BCSP Executive Board Miroslav Hadzic.

      The public opinion research findings will be discussed by:

      • Sonja Stojanović Gajić, Director, Belgrade Centre for Security Policy, Belgrade 
      • Florian Qehaja, Executive Director, Kosovar Center for Security Studies (KCSS), Prishtina
      • Arjan Dyrmishi, Head of the European and Security Research Department Institute forDemocracy and Mediation (IDM), Tirana

      Discussion topics will be:

      • Perceptions of the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina
      • Possibilities for cooperation between Belgrade-Pristina-Tirana
      • What is the future of relations in the Belgrade-Pristina-Tirana triangle - the most negative, and the most positive factors?

      Comparative analysis of perception on personal safety and security threats by the citizens of Serbia, Kosovo* and Albania will be presented by BCSP Researcher Isidora Stakic.

      Public opinion research in Serbia was developed and organised by the BCSP, and the survey was conducted by CeSID in the period between the 5th and 14 October 2013th on the territory of the Republic of Serbia, excluding Kosovo.

      The research was conducted on a representative sample of 1,200 citizens of the Republic of Serbia. Sub-sample was consisted of 200 respondents in the south of Serbia - in the municipalities of Bujanovac, Presevo and Medvedja.

      The Security Research Forum is a joint project of three independent think tanks from Belgrade (BCSP), Prishtina (KCSS) and Tirana (IDM) specialized in research of security issues. The Security Research Forum is meant to foster balanced debate among think-tank community, academia, public policy and media in order to provide research-based alternative solutions to ongoing challenges of cooperation among Serbia, Kosovo and Albania.
