      Researchers Marija Ignjatijevic and Jelena Pejic from September 2017 were new members of the Belgrade Center for Security Policy (BCBP) team.

      Marija Ignjatijevic graduated in International Affairs at the Faculty of Political Sciences at the University of Belgrade, and received her MA in International Relations  studies at the Central European University (CEU) in Budapest.

      During her studies, she received several scholarships: OSCE scholarship for the Master Studies in International Security, the Fund for Young Talents of the Republic of Serbia - Dositeja, the Open Society Fund Scholarship Fund and the European Fund for the Balkans, through which she stayed as a visiting researcher at the European Union Institute for Security Studies. Marija was in the XIX generation of the BCBP internship program, and is currently engaged in the project "The Relationship of Serbia and NATO: Towards a Factual Debate".

      Jelena Pejic graduated International Affairs at the Faculty of Political Science in Belgrade, where she was declared a student of the 2010/11 generation in the basic academic studies. At the same faculty, she completed her master degree at the modules "International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights" and "European Studies" and is currently working on her PhD.

      Jelena was a member of the XVI generation of the BCSP interns, and since then she collaborated with BCSP in research of the legal framework of the security sector in Serbia. She was a fellow researcher of the German Bundestag in 2016, where she spent five months in professional development program at the office of one of the federal deputies. She is particularly interested in the study of parliamentary supervision and the application of special measures.
