An\u0111ela Savi\u0107 is a researcher at the Belgrade Centre for Security Policy, with a particular interest in human rights, digital security, and trends that contribute to repression and the shrinking space for independent and critical work of civil society.<\/p>\n
Before joining BCSP, she worked on issues related to war crimes, transitional justice, and conflict prevention, as well as media and the economic and social rights of marginalized groups.<\/p>\n
She enjoys research and writing and is the author of several articles and publications dealing with the 1990s wars in the former Yugoslavia, their legacy, and their impact on contemporary socio-political developments. She has gained experience in programme and project development and management, civil society capacity building, MEL practices, and the organization of public events through cooperation with domestic, regional, and international organizations, as well as with human rights defenders, activists, media, academia, and the donor community.<\/p>\n
