Research conducted by the Belgrade Centre for Security Policy has shown that many residents of Smederevo, Bor, and Zrenjanin believe that companies from China are privileged and that their management behaves as if they &#8220;own everything&#8221; without caring about regulations, the environment, or public health. The message that the state sends to foreign investors with this behavior is that it pays for them to exploit resources for profit, bypassing regulations, polluting the environment, and endangering the health and property of Serbian citizens, since it does not bear the consequences and criminal responsibility.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What are the concrete problems that the citizens of Smederevo, Bor, and Zrenjanin are facing?
