The event is in\u00a0English, without translation.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\tThe issues that will be covered\u00a0include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\t\tRevolution and transition in Egypt &#8211; brief overview\u00a0including main political players and the balance of power between them;<\/li>\n<li>\t\tThe role of the security sector (police, army, intelligence) &#8211; challenges for reconstruction;<\/li>\n<li>\t\tThe role of civil society organizations in the process;<\/li>\n<li>\t\tUpcoming trials of NGO workers;<\/li>\n<li>\t\tThe presidential elections in Egypt and what can\u00a0be expected\u00a0after the second round is over;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"anterfile\">\t<strong>At the end of the panel we will open the session for questions from the audience.<\/strong><\/div>\n<p>\tAhmed Kandil is\u00a0actively involved in the political life and turmoil in Egypt. He has first-hand\u00a0experience important for understanding the situation in that country, and is willing to share\u00a0his knowledge with the interested public.
