{"id":17642,"date":"2013-03-26T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2013-03-25T23:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bezbednost.org\/najava\/belgrade-security-forum-2013-call-for-papers\/"},"modified":"2013-03-26T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2013-03-25T23:00:00","slug":"belgrade-security-forum-2013-call-for-papers","status":"publish","type":"najava","link":"https:\/\/bezbednost.org\/en\/event\/belgrade-security-forum-2013-call-for-papers\/","title":{"rendered":"Belgrade Security Forum 2013 &#8211; Call for Papers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t<strong>The organisers of the third Belgrade Security Forum are inviting scholars and researchers to submit their proposal papers for the academic event to be held on 19 September 2013.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\tDrawing on insights from International Relations, Security Studies and Sociology of Professions, this year\u2019s BSF academic event wishes to raise the following questions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\t\tWhat are the consequences of state transformation on professional international security practices such as the military, the police and diplomacy?<\/li>\n<li>\t\tWhat is the impact of privatization of international security on those professions?<\/li>\n<li>\t\tIs the social standing and autonomy of these professions intact or are they being challenged by the deep transformation of the field of international security?<\/li>\n<li>\t\tHow are their professional culture and ethos affected by new technological and political transformations?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\n<div class=\"anterfile\">\n<p>\t\t\t<strong>Deadline for submissions is 1 May 2013.\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Submissions should be\u00a0made electronically\u00a0to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:jrs@fpn.bg.ac.rs\">jrs@fpn.bg.ac.rs<\/a>, and titled \u201cCall for paper proposals for BSF 2013\u201d.\u00a0<\/strong>All submissions must include the applicant\u2019s CV (two pages at most) attached to his\/her paper proposal (up to 400 words).<strong> <\/strong>Acepted candidates will be contacted by 20 May.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\t\tThe organizers will provide financial support for travel and accommodation expenses of selected participants on a need basis that should be explicitly stated in the application. All accepted papers will be presented during the BSF academic event (September 19), and after the conference, all the papers will be peer-reviewed for publication in the <a href=\"http:\/\/bezbednost.org\/Bezbednost\/2206\/Journal-of-Regional-Security.shtml\">Journal of Regional Security<\/a>. More information can be found in the attached document.<\/p>\n<div class=\"anterfile\">\n<p>\t\t\t<em>The<\/em>\u00a0<em><a href=\"http:\/\/belgradeforum.org\/\">Belgrade Security Forum<\/a><\/em>\u00a0<em>is co-organized by Belgrade Centre for Security Policy, Belgrade Fund for Political Excellence and the European Movement in Serbia.
