{"id":17660,"date":"2014-04-23T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2014-04-22T22:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bezbednost.org\/najava\/serbia-kosovo-potential-for-cooperation-and-key-challenges-of-common-european-perspective\/"},"modified":"2014-04-23T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2014-04-22T22:00:00","slug":"serbia-kosovo-potential-for-cooperation-and-key-challenges-of-common-european-perspective","status":"publish","type":"najava","link":"https:\/\/bezbednost.org\/en\/event\/serbia-kosovo-potential-for-cooperation-and-key-challenges-of-common-european-perspective\/","title":{"rendered":"Serbia-Kosovo*: Potential for Cooperation and Key Challenges of Common European Perspective"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t<strong>During the event BCSP researchers <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bezbednost.org\/BCSP\/4075\/Maja-Bjelos.shtml\">Maja Bjelos<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bezbednost.org\/BCSP\/5322\/Bojan-Elek.shtml\">Bojan Elek<\/a> will present the first public analysis on progress and challenges to the integration of Serbian police officers in Kosovo Police as per the Brussels Agreement.<\/strong> <strong>The policy paper \u201e<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bezbednost.org\/All-publications\/5475\/Police-Integration-In-North-Kosovo-Progress-And.shtml\">Police Integration in North Kosovo: Progress and Remaining Challenges in the Implementation of the Brussels Agreement<\/a>\u201c was drafted as a part of Exchange Program between BCSP and Kosovar Center for Security Studies (KCSS). <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\tThe event will be split on three panels which aim to initiate discussion on the following topics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\t\tChallenges and potentials of minority integration in police forces<\/li>\n<li>\t\tStabilization and association process and European integration: Key challenges and opportunities of Serbia and Kosovo*<\/li>\n<li>\t\tEuropean integration &#8211; potentials for development, modernization and cooperation of local communities of Serbia and Kosovo*<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\tAfter reaching an agreement between Belgrade and Pristina in 2013, the dialogue continues under the auspices of the European Union(EU) and signifies a key milestone in the integration process, as well as in the normalization of relations. The dialogue should lead to a visible and sustained normalization of relations and is deeply motivated by the european perspective of Serbia and Kosovo*.
