Kirby will open the conference on Partnership for Integrity in the Security Sector in Serbia on <strong>Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at 9 a.m. at Hotel Zira<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tBCSP is organizing the conference as part of a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bezbednost.org\/All-projects\/5214\/Partnership-for-Integrity-in-Security-Sector-in.shtml\">project<\/a> to improve external oversight of the security sector in Serbia by strengthening integrity and anti-corruption efforts in key security institutions, such as the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Interior, and the Security Information Agency.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tThe event is organized with the support of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.usaid.gov\/where-we-work\/europe-and-eurasia\/serbia\">USAID<\/a>through the Civil Society Forward Program and managed by the Institute for Sustainable Communities (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.iscserbia.org\/index.html\">ISC<\/a>).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tThe main topics of discussion will include the costs Serbian citizens bear from corruption in security institutions and how integrity in the security sector increases institutional efficiency and improves the protection of citizens rights.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\t<strong>WHO: \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong>Ambassador Michael D.
