During this period there was no political support to their work. This roundtable therefore aims to define: 1) the problems that the local safety councils in Serbia are facing; 2) why it is important to establish these bodies and 3) ways for increasing the level of local safety. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tSpeakers:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\t\tRepresentative of the OSCE Mission to Serbia (TBC);<\/li>\n<li>\t\tSasa Djordjevic, Researcher, BCSP;<\/li>\n<li>\t\tRepresentative of the Ministry of Interior (TBC);<\/li>\n<li>\t\tHajrudin Hajrovic, President of the Safety Council of Novi Pazar;<\/li>\n<li>\t\tDalibor Mitic, Assistant to the President of the Municipality of Paracin;<\/li>\n<li>\t\tGorana Radovanovic, Researcher, BCSP.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\tDiscussion topics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\t\tIn what ways can local safety councils increase the level of local safety in towns and municipalities in Serbia;<\/li>\n<li>\t\tWhat are the main achievements and what problems does the Safety Council of Novi Pazar face;<\/li>\n<li>\t\tWhy Paracin decided to establish the Safety Council and what are the future plans for its\u2019 work;<\/li>\n<li>\t\tWhat challenges are local safety councils facing;<\/li>\n<li>\t\tWhy gender is important element of local safety.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\tRoundtable will be held in Serbian language.
