{"id":17696,"date":"2016-08-18T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2016-08-17T22:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bezbednost.org\/najava\/how-much-do-we-trust-the-police\/"},"modified":"2016-08-18T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2016-08-17T22:00:00","slug":"how-much-do-we-trust-the-police","status":"publish","type":"najava","link":"https:\/\/bezbednost.org\/en\/event\/how-much-do-we-trust-the-police\/","title":{"rendered":"How much do we trust the police?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t<strong>Regional network of civil society organisations POINTPULSE organises the presentation of results from the second round of public opinion survey \u201eThe Citizen\u2019s Opinion of the Police Force\u201d that will take place on Thursday, 1 September, at the Media Centre in Belgrade starting at 11h.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>\t<strong>At the presentation citizens\u2019 perceptions on the following issues will be discussed:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>\t\tHow much do we trust the police?<\/li>\n<li>\t\tHow citizens percieve average male and female police officers?<\/li>\n<li>\t\tHow much corruption there is within the police and how to fight it?<\/li>\n<li>\t\tTo what extent politics influences the police?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\tThe perceptions of Serbian citizens will be presented and compared to the perceptions in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Montenegro and Kosovo.<\/p>\n<h2>\t<strong>Panelists:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>\t\t<strong>Sofija Mandic<\/strong>, legal researcher, Belgrade Centre for Security Policy (BCSP)<\/li>\n<li>\t\t<strong>Aurelija Djan<\/strong>, researcher, Belgrade Centre for Security Policy (BCSP)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>\t<strong>Moderator:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>\t\t<strong>Nikola Radisic<\/strong>, journalist at N1.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\tWorking language of the presentation is Serbian with simultaneous translation to English provided.<\/p>\n<p>\tDue to a limited number of available seats, please confirm your attendance by Wednesday, 31 August 2016, by sending and email to <a href=\"mailto:office@bezbednost.org\">office@bezbednost.org<\/a>\u00a0or by phone 011 3287 226.<\/p>\n<p>\tPresentations on the same topic will be simultaneously organised in Tirana, Sarajevo, Skoplje, Podgorica and Pristina, where the results will be presented by project partners: Institute for Democracy and Mediation, Center for Security Studies, Analytica, Institute Alternativa and Kosovar Center for Security Studies.<\/p>\n<p>\t\u00a0<\/p>\n<table>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\tThis presentation is organised within the framework of the \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/bezbednost.org\/All-projects\/5711\/Western-Balkans-Pulse-for-Police-Integrity-and.shtml\">Western Balkans Pulse for Police Integrity and Trust &#8211; POINTPULSE<\/a>\u201d project supported by the European Union through Civil Society Facility programme.
