\tRegional network of civil society organizations <\/strong>POINTPULSE<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and the <\/strong>Belgrade Centre for Security Policy (BCSP)<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>invite you to the presentation of the research \u201cPolice Integrity Assessment in Serbia\u201d, which will take place at the <\/strong>Media Centre<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>(Terazije 3, Belgrade), on 13th<\/sup> December 2016, beginning at 11 AM. <\/strong><\/p>\n

\tThe aim of the event is to encourage discussion on future challenges and priorities regarding police reform, with a special emphasis of the effects of application of the new Law on Police in the last ten months. Members of the Committee on Defence and Internal Affairs of the National Assembly, representatives of the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Justice, the Prosecutor\u2019s Office, police unions, Ombudsman\u2019s Office, Office of the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection, the Anti-Corruption Agency and the State Audit Institution have also been invited to the event, as well as all other actors that are interested in building police integrity in Serbia.<\/p>\n

\tThe following issues shall be discussed:<\/h2>\n
    \n
  1. \t\tWhat are the effects of the application of the new Law on Police?<\/li>\n
  2. \t\tHow did the Ministry of Interior perform in spending its budget during 2016?<\/li>\n
  3. \t\tHow good are Members of the National Assembly in conducting oversight over the police?<\/li>\n
  4. \t\tIs the implementation of the human resources management system heading in the right direction?<\/li>\n
  5. \t\tHow much is internal control effective in combating police corruption?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    \tResearch findings shall be presented by:<\/h2>\n
      \n
    1. \t\tSasa Djordjevic<\/a>, BCSP Researcher<\/li>\n
    2. \t\tSofija Mandic<\/a>, BCSP Legal Researcher<\/li>\n
    3. \t\tVladimir Erceg<\/a>, BCSP Researcher<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      \tThe discussion will be moderated by Jelena Zoric, journalist of regional television N1.<\/p>\n

      \tThe discussion will be conducted in Serbian. Simultaneous translation to English will be provided.<\/p>\n

      \tPresentation on the same topic shall be organized simultaneously in Skopje, Sarajevo, Podgorica, Tirana and Pristine, where the research findings shall be presented by the partners on the project: Analytica<\/a>, Centre for Security Studies<\/a>, Institute Alternative<\/a>, Institute for Democracy and Mediation, and Kosovar Centre for Security Studies.<\/a><\/p>\n
