This topic is especially current since the Proposal for amendments to the Law on Police will be discussed in December 2017 by the Serbian Parliament, and which will again change the regulation on secondary employment in the police.<\/p>\n<p>\t<strong>The following questions will be discussed at the event:<\/strong><br \/>\t\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\t\tDoes the law regulate jobs incompatible with the police profession?<\/li>\n<li>\t\tWhat do proposed amendments to the Law on Police bring?<\/li>\n<li>\t\tAre the police officers satisfied with their job in Ministry of Interior?<\/li>\n<li>\t\tWhich jobs are incompatible with police duty according to the officers?<\/li>\n<li>\t\tHow are these work areas regulated in other countries?<\/li>\n<li>\t\tHow should conflicts of interest be regulated by the police?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\t<strong>The study\u00a0<\/strong><strong>will be presented by:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\t\t<strong>Sofija Mandi\u0107<\/strong>, BCSP legal researcher,<\/li>\n<li>\t\t<strong>Sa\u0161a \u0110or\u0111evi\u0107<\/strong>, BCSP researcher and coordinator of POINTPULSE network.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\t<strong>Speakers on incompatible occupations with police profession will be:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\t\t<strong>Vladimir Pavi\u0107evi\u0107<\/strong>, Vice President of the Police Union of Serbia,<\/li>\n<li>\t\t<strong>Vladimir D\u017eigurski<\/strong>, Executive Vice President of Police Professional Association \u201cDr. Rudolf Ar\u010dibald Rajs\u201d,<\/li>\n<li>\t\t<strong>Mile Lazarevi\u0107<\/strong>, Vice President of Serbian Police Union,<\/li>\n<li>\t\t<strong>\u0110or\u0111e Vu\u010dini\u0107<\/strong>, Deputy Secretary of the Association of Private Security and Other Service Activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\t<strong>Due to the limited number of seats, please RSVP by Monday, December 1, 2017, by email to the address\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:office@bezbednost.org\">office@bezbednost.org<\/a>or telephone at 011 2263287.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\tThe working language of the conference is Serbian. <strong>Simultaneous translation into English will be provided.<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"anterfile\">\tThe study that the BCSP presents at the event \u201cConflict of Interest and Police in Serbia\u201d was conducted on the request of Protector of Citizens within the project \u201cStrengthening the Capacities of the Protector of Citizens\u201d, supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.
