{"id":17825,"date":"2015-09-22T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2015-09-21T22:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bezbednost.org\/najava\/violent-extremism-in-the-western-balkans\/"},"modified":"2015-09-22T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2015-09-21T22:00:00","slug":"violent-extremism-in-the-western-balkans","status":"publish","type":"najava","link":"https:\/\/bezbednost.org\/en\/event\/violent-extremism-in-the-western-balkans\/","title":{"rendered":"Violent Extremism in the Western Balkans"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t<strong>Partnership for Peace Consortium of Defence Academies and Security Studies Institutes in partnership with the Belgrade Centre for Security Policy (BCSP) is organising the conference \u201cViolent Extremism in the Western Balkans,\u201d which will be held on September 28-29, 2015, in Zira Hotel, 35 Ruzveltova Street, Belgrade.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\tThe conference will seek to answer the following questions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\t\tWhat is the potential for violent extremism in the Western Balkans?<\/li>\n<li>\t\tHow can the region prevent radicalization?<\/li>\n<li>\t\tIs the Islamic state a threat to the Western Balkans?<\/li>\n<li>\t\tShould returning foreign fighters be reintegrated or sanctioned?<\/li>\n<li>\t\tWhat is the role of media in the fight against violent extremism?<\/li>\n<li>\t\tIs &#8220;the Greater Albania&#8221; project a myth or reality?<\/li>\n<li>\t\tWhat are the links between the right wing extremism and right wing political parties?<\/li>\n<li>\t\tHow can the region cooperate in the prevention of radicalization?<\/li>\n<li>\t\tWhat role for the international community in the fight against violent extremism in the Western Balkans?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\tThe conference will gather representatives of think tanks, media and academia from WB and EU countries.
