\tA selected group of government officials, coming from Security Policy Departments\u00a0of the\u00a0Ministries of Defence\u00a0of the Nordic and Baltic countries visited Centre for Civil-Military Relations on Thursday, May 29. Their visit was organised by Royal Norwegian Embassy in Serbia.<\/p>\n
\tAs it was said during the introductory remarks, by visiting Serbia, members of the delegation were looking for insights which could help them influence their decision makers.<\/p>\n
\tThe task of introducing the security situation in Serbia and the region as well as the political situation to our guests was handled by Belgrade School of Security Studies Research Fellows. Marko Savkovi\u0107 spoke on the political situation in Serbia after the elections, focusing on the issues raised in the campaign. Djordje Popovic than turned the attention of the guests to the matter of strategic orientation, with his presentation \u201cWhither Serbian Army after Kosovo Independence?\u201d Filip Ejdus was concerned with the state of the Regional Security Complex that is Western Balkans, in the light of the Kosovo\u2019s disputed independence. In the end, Marko Milosevic presented the results of the research endorsed by OSCE, \u201cPrivate Security Companies in Serbia – a friend or foe?\u201d<\/p>\n
