Visible daily is the\u00a0disproportionate representation in places where political decisions are made, as well as stereotypical and often insulting representation of women in the media,\u00a0political speech, and\u00a0even in the school curriculum.<\/p>\n<p>\tThese are only part of the\u00a0problems addressed by Serbian Ombudsperson Sa\u0161a Jankovi\u0107 in the process of\u00a0implementing gender equality.<\/p>\n<p>\tCouncil is chaired by Law Professor at University of Novi Sad Marijana\u00a0Pajvan\u010di\u0107, and the remaining five members are Professor at the Faculty of Political Sciences in Belgrade Snje\u017eana Milivojevi\u0107, coordinator of the legal team of the Autonomous Women&#39;s Center Vanja Macanovi\u0107, NGO &#8220;Bibija&#8221;\u00a0activists \u0110ur\u0111ica Ergi\u0107, Professor at Belgrade\u00a0University\u00a0School of Medicine Slobodan Savi\u0107, and coordinator of the LGBT helpline Milan \u0110uri\u0107.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In order to achieve more efficiency and quality in achieving\u00a0gender equality, the institution of Ombudsperson\u00a0has established an\u00a0expert advisory body Council for Gender Equality, and the BCSP Director Sonja Stojanovi\u0107 was elected as one of the six members.
