{"id":20919,"date":"2016-07-13T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2016-07-12T22:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bezbednost.org\/minister-of-defense-in-visit-to-bcsp\/"},"modified":"2020-07-21T20:45:24","modified_gmt":"2020-07-21T18:45:24","slug":"minister-of-defense-in-visit-to-bcsp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bezbednost.org\/en\/minister-of-defense-in-visit-to-bcsp\/","title":{"rendered":"Minister of Defense in visit to BCSP"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t<strong>Building integrity in defense was the main topic of the meeting of the Belgrade Centre for Security Policy with Minister of Defense Zoran <\/strong><strong>Djordjevic and his associates from the Ministry of Defense, which was held on 13<sup>th<\/sup> July 2016 in the library of the BCSP.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\tIn the framework of the research \u201cGlobal Anti-corruption Index of Defense\u201d, BCSP, as the partner of the organization <a href=\"http:\/\/www.transparency.org\/cpi2015?gclid=COqR-cj0780CFeop0wod_lwDmg\"><em>Transparency International<\/em><\/a>, announced <a href=\"http:\/\/government.defenceindex.org\/countries\/serbia\/\">key findings for Serbia<\/a> in the late 2015. Research has pointed on the progress made in implementing anti-corruption measures in the Ministry of Defense, but on some disadvantages as well.<\/p>\n<p>\tMinister of Defense Zoran Djordjevic expressed the willingness of Ministry of Defense and Serbian Armed Forces to continue with the building of integrity in the defense system, as well as to continue the cooperation with civil society organizations competent in this field.<\/p>\n<p>\tBCSP publication \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bezbednost.org\/All-publications\/5607\/Integrity-Assessment-in-the-Security-Sector-in.shtml\">Assessment of Integrity in the Security Sector of Serbia<\/a>\u201d is one of the products of years of research of corruption risks in the security sector, and BCSP is one of the several organizations in Serbia which performed the duty of the Civil Supervisor, a mechanism for supervising the public procurement.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\t<em><strong>Report was translated by BCSP Intern Nevena Mancic.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<div>\t\u00a0<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Building integrity in defense was the main topic of the meeting of the Belgrade Centre for Security Policy with Minister of Defense Zoran Djordjevic and his associates from the Ministry of Defense, which was held on 13th July 2016 in the library of the BCSP.
