{"id":20942,"date":"2015-05-06T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2015-05-05T22:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bezbednost.org\/bcsp-on-a-global-list-of-top-think-tanks-in-2014\/"},"modified":"2020-07-21T20:52:04","modified_gmt":"2020-07-21T18:52:04","slug":"bcsp-on-a-global-list-of-top-think-tanks-in-2014","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bezbednost.org\/en\/bcsp-on-a-global-list-of-top-think-tanks-in-2014\/","title":{"rendered":"BCSP on a global list of top think tanks in 2014"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t<strong>In the <a href=\"http:\/\/repository.upenn.edu\/cgi\/viewcontent.cgi?article=1008&#038;context=think_tanks\">2014 Global Go To Think Tank Index Report<\/a>\u00a0published by University of Pennsylvania<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Belgrade Centre for Security Policy (BCSP) is ranked among the best in three categories.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\t<strong>BCSP is ranked 15h on the list of Top Think Tanks in Central and Eastern Europe, 35th in the world for the research area defense and national security, as well as the 37th in the world for the topic of foreign policy and international affairs.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\tThe list is a result of a several months of research covering 6,618 think tanks and related organizations in 182 countries around the world. More than 3,500 institutions, organizations and independent experts, as well as journalists, donors and representatives of government, NGOs and international organizations participated in voting.<\/p>\n<p>\tSome of the criteria used in the evaluation of the impact and reputation of the organizations are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\t\tThe link between the organization&#39;s efforts in a particular area and the positive changes to which these efforts have contributed;<\/li>\n<li>\t\tAcademic and media reputation;<\/li>\n<li>\t\tThe utility of of the organization in policy making;<\/li>\n<li>\t\tThe ability to create new knowledge and alternative ideas;<\/li>\n<li>\t\tIs the organization a &#8220;bridge&#8221; between political institutions and civil society;<\/li>\n<li>\t\tRelevance of the research topics, the scope and breadth of the audience that follows the work of the organization, the funds.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\t<a href=\"http:\/\/gotothinktank.com\/\">Global Go To Think Tank Index<\/a>\u00a0is a response of the University of Pennsylvania Programme for research centers and civil society in the Department of International Relations at the large number of requests of donors and journalists to make a list of of the most eminent national, regional and international think tanks.
