Mr. Timotic died of Covid-19 at the age of 86.<\/p>\n

We are immensely grateful to Mr. Timotic for everything he did for the organization in the past 23 years. Without his courage, commitment, dedication and faith in the organization, BCSP would not be what it is today.<\/p>\n
BCSP lost not only one of the founders, but also a great friend and supporter in the fight for the shared values. It was a pleasure to work with him and we are very grateful to Mr. Timotic for every opportunity he used to share his knowledge and experience with us.<\/p>\n
Milorad Timotic graduated from the School of Political Sciences in Belgrade in 1965, and received his master’s degree in 1972 from the Faculty of Political Sciences. He graduated from the Command and General Staff College in Fort Leavenworth (USA) in 1981, as well as the Royal College of Defense Studies (UK) in 1985.<\/p>\n
Mr. Timotic was a retired colonel. He spent most of his professional military career in the Federal Secretariat of National Defense, with short breaks. From 1987 to 1992, he worked at the JNA Institute for Strategic Studies as a project manager and researcher. While working at the Institute, he was the head of the CSCE (now the OSCE) Liaison Department.<\/p>\n
He was one of the founders of the Center for Civil-Military Relations (now BCSP), where he undertook numerous responsibilities, from secretary and project coordinator to Vice-President of the Executive Board, a position he resigned from in December 2015. Until his death he remained a member of the BCSP Assembly.<\/p>\n
