Failing to do so would risk direct responsibility for any consequences that may follow, including a potential attack on Cicvari\u0107\u2019s life.<\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\">During the broadcast on\u00a0<i>Informer<\/i>, Vu\u010dini\u0107 presented a prepared note claiming to possess reliable knowledge of plans to kill Pavle Cicvari\u0107, allegedly with the aim of reigniting mass protests. We stress that questioning Vu\u010dini\u0107 is also in his own interest, as under Article 331 of the Serbian Criminal Code, failure to report preparations for a criminal act constitutes a criminal offense punishable by up to one year in prison.<\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\">The Civil Committee reminds that the Public Prosecutor\u2019s Office is a state authority mandated to prosecute perpetrators of criminal and other punishable acts and to safeguard the public interest. In times of heightened social tensions, the Prosecutor\u2019s Office cannot remain a passive observer.
