{"id":17154,"date":"2012-04-04T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2012-04-03T22:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bezbednost.org\/publikacija\/territorial-and-boundary-disputes-between-serbia-and-kosovo\/"},"modified":"2023-08-06T15:19:49","modified_gmt":"2023-08-06T13:19:49","slug":"territorial-and-boundary-disputes-between-serbia-and-kosovo","status":"publish","type":"publikacija","link":"https:\/\/bezbednost.org\/en\/publication\/territorial-and-boundary-disputes-between-serbia-and-kosovo\/","title":{"rendered":"Territorial and boundary disputes between Serbia and Kosovo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Our findings show that the biggest challenge in this community is underdevelopment.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Participants in this region have stated that, while society is divided along ethnic lines, other problems include non-recognition of degrees awarded in Kosovo; the prolonged presence of armed forces in this region; and lack of freedom of movement for the people living in Kosovo.<\/p>\n<p>With the recommendations in this paper we are addressing Government of Serbia, local authorities and the international community.<\/p>\n<p><em>This case study is a product of project <\/em><em>The People\u2019s Peacemaking Perspectives<\/em><em>, a joint initiative implemented by Conciliation Resources and Saferworld and financed under the European Commission\u2019s Instrument for Stability.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In this case study BCSP Researcher Zorana Brozovic has explored people\u2019s perspective on territorial and boundary issues in South Serbia, near administrative boundary with Kosovo and Metohija.
