Dušan Stanković

Associate Fellow

Dušan Stanković is an Associate Fellow at the Belgrade Centre for Security Policy and a doctoral candidate in criminology at the University of Malmö. He graduated from the University of Criminal Investigation and Police Studies. After graduation, he completed an internship at the Belgrade Center for Security Policy and then worked as a police officer in Niš.

He completed his master’s degree in Law at the University of Niš Faculty of Law and published several scientific papers in the field of criminology. He won a 2021/2022 Chevening scholarship and completed his Master’s Degree in “Criminology and Social Research Methods” at the University of Lancaster. He won the first prize at the International Competition for the best scientific paper written by young criminologists from Eastern and Central Europe.

Dušan deals with local security, policing, and crime policies and uses quantitative and qualitative methods in his research. He studies crime patterns and trends and advocates Evidence-based policing.
