The biggest corruption risks in defence sector stem from weak internal control of budget spending and revenue that defense system achieves, like armament export, confidential procurement, human resource management, control of the manufacturer’s choice and whistleblower protection in prosecution of corruption - these were conclusions of the conference BCSP organised.

Based on the latest findings from the most known global ranking of think tanks, Belgrade Centre for Security Policy (BCSP) is the top ranking think thank in the Western Balkans among all those researching defense and national security, and foreign policy and international relations.

Participants concluded that it seems like legal solutions are adopted taking into account international conventions, in order to demonstrate democratic progress and development to the international community, however, adopted solutions are rarely implemented in practice.

Chapters 23 and 24 were the main topic discussed during the visit of the BCSP delegation to the institutions, think tanks and the media based in Brussels.

Mapping insecurity sources for young women and men in Vranje, also analysing locations in the city that are considered insecure were main activities conducted by BCSP researchers during November of 2015.

Regional network of civil society organizations POINTPULSE has, in cooperation with the OSCE Mission to Serbia, on 10 of December in Belgrade, organized a conference "Promoting police integrity in Western Balkans", which goal was to gather the relevant stakeholders dealing with the police reform within the region.

Transparency International published the results for Serbia in the framework of the second round of the Government Defence Anti-Corruption Index survey encompassing more than 100 countries. This index measures risks of corruption in national defence and security establishments. The risk assessment for Serbia was carried out in cooperation with Belgrade Centre for Security Policy.

Coalition prEUgovor believes that Chapters 23 and 24 need to be opened as soon as possible, because that will enable more thorough monitoring of implementation of the measures prescribed in action plans.

Ministry of interior (MOI) has issued a statement on 26th November 2015, in which is stated that Belgrade Centre for Security policy (BCSP) made a number of false statements on the draft of the law on police.
