Conflict transformation through empathetic peace education: student simulation of Belgrade Pristina dialogue

The project will involve the selection of 28 students (two groups of 14) who will take part in this program by simulating two-tracked Belgrade-Pristina dialogue at the technical and political levels. Through mediation, simulation of negotiations between Belgrade and Pristina, role-playing and empathy, students participating in the project would contribute to peace building between the two nations and act as multipliers among their peers. Serbian students will be tasked to represent the Kosovo delegation and defend their interests the best they can while Kosovo students will do the same on behalf of the Serbian delegation. The format and the topics negotiated in the student simulation will reflect the official negotiations and it will be filmed and lessons learned made into a promotional video.
