Safe Heaven for the Civil Society at the time of the War in Ukraine
The main goal of this project is for the BCSP to defend civic space amidst the war in Ukraine by providing refuge and continuing the work of civil society experts from Ukraine and Russia. This project would help foster a permanent research program dedicated to analysing foreign and security policy trends in Russia and the post-Soviet states, and their impact on Western Balkan countries.
BCSP will establish a hub for foreign and security policy researchers from this region allowing them to work from BCBP for the duration of their refugee, protection or similar status in Serbia. The project would allow BCSP to develop a research program through which Russian place in the world can be analysed and the international relations of the selected post-Soviet space.
Through publishing analytical articles in media, publishing policy briefs and organizing public events, BCSP wants to raise the awareness of Serbian citizens about Russia and the post-Soviet space, particularly in the context of the Ukrainian war.
