Dušan Stanković
Associate Fellow
Dušan is an Associate Fellow at the Belgrade Centre for Security Policy and a doctoral candidate in Criminology at the University of Malmö, where his dissertation focuses on the policing of public space.
Dušan’s work is about police, crime and safety. At BCSP, he participates in projects on reform and democratisation of institutions and on research of organised crime and public safety.
Previously, he worked as a frontline police officer and police sergeant in Serbia. His educational background is in police studies (BA, Police University, Belgrade), Criminology and Social Research Methods (MSc, University of Lancaster, UK) and criminal law (LLM, University of Nis).
In 2021, he won a Chevening Scholarship for master’s studies in the UK, while in 2020 he won first prize at the International Competition for the best scientific paper written by young criminologists from Eastern and Central Europe.
