Belgrade Centre for Security Policy invites you to participate in the discussion “UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security: impact on local communities” organized  with the support of the OSCE Mission to Serbia.

The discussion will take place on March 2, 2017 in Media center Belgrade, starting at 11am.

The discussion will tackle following questions:

  • When can we expect adoption of 1325 NAP by the Serbian Government
  • What are the most important security issues that should be addressed by the 1325 NAP
  • Presenting data on prosecution of perpetrators of sexual violence committed during the wars in the former Yugoslavia and their interpretation in public
  • Is there connection between firearms ownership and domestic violence
  • What are the possibilities for removal of firearms from domestic violence perpetrators

Introduction speakers will be representatives of The Commissioner for the Protection of Equality, OSCE Mission to Serbia and Belgrade center for security policy. This will be followed by presentations of representatives of Public Policy Research Center and Humanitarian Law Center.
