A new generation of interns has joined the BCSP team
From numerous applicants, the six best interns who joined the BCBP team as the XXIX generation were selected, starting on October 1, 2024.
Through the internship program, the BCSP gathers final-year students and young graduates, allowing them to gain work experience in an independent research center. The introductory session for the XXIX generation of interns was held on October 1, 2024, in the BCSP library.
The internship program aims to bridge the gap between education and the labor market and to support young people without previous work experience in acquiring the skills needed for work. Many of them will have the opportunity to have their work or research product published for the first time. In addition, they can participate in the organization and attend the Belgrade Security Conference.
During the introductory session, the new generation of interns had the opportunity to meet the researchers of the BCSP team and learn about the principles of work in an independent research center, as well as the topics that the center is currently dealing with.
Before the conversation with the researchers, the interns watched a short film together, created on the occasion of the promise of 25 years of the center’s work, to learn more about the mission, vision, and history of the BCSP. They also spoke with the director Igor Bandović, and they were most interested in how the organisation’s responsibilities were defined, the roles and responsibilities of the board of directors, the assembly, and the international advisory board.
The internship program coordinator, Gorana Pebić, presented them with the tasks that await them in the coming period, as well as the dynamics of work and communication in the team.
The interns expressed their interest and enthusiasm from the beginning and were ready to share their ideas for improving the center’s work, bringing new energy to the team.
