Serbia, Kosovo & the EU: Recognition, Normalization or Illusion?
The Belgrade Centre for Security Policy, together with the JHU SAIS Foreign Policy Institute and Kosovo Institute for Policy Research and Development (KIPRED), invites you to the online discussion "Serbia, Kosovo & the EU: Recognition, Normalization or Illusion?", which will be organized on Tuesday, 22 June at 15:30 CET (9:30 AM ET).
Diplomats are scrambling now to make progress ahead of the re-start of the EU-led (US-supported) “Dialogue” between Serbia and Kosovo. This event will examine what is the future of Belgrade – Pristina relations. Also, it will look specifically at the view from Spain, Slovakia, Romania, Greece, and Cyprus – the EU 5 who did not recognize Kosovo.
These topics will be discussed by:
- Igor Bandović, BCSP Director
- Lulzim Peci, Kosovar Institute for Policy Research and Development (KIPRED)
- Oana Popescu Zamfir, Global Focus
- Nikolaos Tzifakis, University of the Peloponnese
- Pol Vila Sarriá, Trans European Policy Studies Association (TEPSA)
Introduction and moderation: Edward P. Joseph, Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS)
