It is necessary to put an end to past conflict and move forward into the future marked by cooperation and understanding, it was concluded by the participants of the Summer School on Security Policy - six-day seminar which gathered young people from Serbia, Kosovo and Albania in exchanging experiences and participating in a series of discussions and lectures on security policy, regional cooperation and the Serbian-Albanian relations.

BCSP activities in 2013 were highlighted by contributions to the systematic fight against corruption within police, military and security services, advancement of gender equality in security sector, opening of the dialogue on future of Serbian-Albanian relations and beginning of the independent monitoring of Serbia’s progress in chapters 23 and 24 of the EU negotiating process.

The Agreement on normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina represents a positive step in Serbian-Albanian relations. However, its implementation depends on the political will of both sides and their success in resolving internal political issues.
