At the conference prEUgovor it was pointed out that even though Serbia is ready for the opening of Chapters 23 and 24, cases like the destruction in Savamala present a potential reason for stopping the negotiations on membership in the EU.

Did the parties express their standpoint on chapters 23 and 24 during pre-election period and have they respected the rule of law – these were the topics of the seventh CHATvrtak.

Chapters 23 and 24 were the main topic discussed during the visit of the BCSP delegation to the institutions, think tanks and the media based in Brussels.

Coalition prEUgovor believes that Chapters 23 and 24 need to be opened as soon as possible, because that will enable more thorough monitoring of implementation of the measures prescribed in action plans.

The coalition prEUgovor has been monitoring Serbia’s progress in regard to the adherence to political criteria for EU membership and policies covered under Chapters 23 (Judiciary and Fundamental Rights) and 24 (Justice, Freedom and Security) of the European acquis in the negotiation process.
