Characteristics of gender-based discrimination in the security sector were the subject of presentation held by BCSP Director at the seminar entitled "Towards effective and sustainable mechanism of trustworthy person", organized on 11. and 12. December 2013. at the House of Guards in Topcider.

Considering that no research on this matter has been conducted in Serbia, this paper is pilot research and its intention is to encourage further research on this matter and other related issues.
