The vast majority of citizens think that corruption is a widespread phenomenon in Serbia, but the number of those who believe that the level of corruption decreased a bit is growing while the belief that police is corrupted is very expressed, said representatives of the Belgrade centre for security policy (BCSP) during presentation of the results of public opinion poll „Citizens of Serbia on corruption in police".

Although during the last two years the state has done a lot to implement the National Action Plan for implementation of UNSC Resolution 1325, little has been done to involve the civil society in this process, the pioneer of engagement in this area – this was one of the conclusions of the first gathering of women peace organizations and state institutions responsible for the implementation of NAP 1325 representatives, initiated by BCSP.

The delegation of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly met with the representatives of the BCSP during their visit to Serbia, which also included meetings with the high state officials.

The current security situation at the local level, but also in Serbia and the region, the different approaches to solving security challenges and the legality of security services operations were the topics of discussion between Sonja Stojanović, Director of BCSP, and representatives of parliamentary parties youth, during a working breakfast organized by TransConflict.

Together with its partner organizations the BCSP will present results of "People’s Peacemaking Perspective" project to the European Parliament, DG Enlargement and European External Action Service. The results will be also presented to the representatives of think-tank organizations in Brussels.
