BCSP gathers newly graduated students via internship program, and provides them with the chance of gaining work experience in an independent research centre. Introduction seminar for eighteenth generation was held on September 2, 2015, in BCSP library.

“We are trying to develop additional skills and specific interest in the area of security policy for our interns, which will be of use for them in further career. This generation will be given chance to learn how to write policy papers, participate in making of Bulletin about liberty, justice and security, and organization of the fifth Belgrade Security Forum” said Aurelija Djan, BCSP researcher and internship program coordinator.

New generation of interns during introduction seminar met with BCSP staff, got information about work principles in independent research centre, and also about activities in which they will participate in next six months.

History, mission, and accomplishments to date of BCSP were presented to interns by researches Maja Belos, and Marko Miloševic.

What are think-tanks and how are they different from other types of organizations was explained to interns through dynamic discussion with Sonja Stojanovic Gajic, BCSP director.

Chapters 23 and 24, and their importance in process of Serbian negotiations with EU were in focus of BCSP researcher, Bojan Elek, presentation. He talked about Bulletin about liberty, justice and security, named “REUformator” and gave some writing instructions.

“I am very pleased about the introduction seminar, and how I got to know basics about working in BCSP. Through interactive presentations I understood what is expected from me in the future. My hope is that during my internship period I will be able to contribute to project activities, and shape myself in quality young researcher” said new intern, Katarina Kosmina.
