Presentation of recommendations on the police reform issues in Serbia
BCSP Researcher Sasa Djordjevic will present the policy study "Building a Safe Community" and the key policy recommendation on September 6th in the Media Center.
The Belgrade Centre for Security Policy, the Belgrade Centre for Human Rights and the Centre for Euro-Atlantic Studies will present the civil society research and key policy recommendations on current police reform issues in Serbia.
The conference will take place on Thursday, September 6th, at 1PM, in the Media Centre, Terazije 3, second floor.
Simultaneous translation will be provided.
As a result of the research the bi-lingual publication (in Serbian and English) was published, and it will be presented at the conference. Publication contains assessment of the current state, and both, general and concrete recommendations for advancement of police work on the following topics:
- crime prevention with the aim of contributing to the creation of safer communities
- professional culture, ethics, misconduct and the responsibilities of the police
- role of the police in criminal procedure.
