3rd Belgrade Security Forum
For the third year in a row BCSP co-organizes the largest international security conference in South Eastern Europe - Belgrade Security Forum - which will be opened 19 September with an academic event on the transformation of state and professions in international security.
Hosted by three partner civil society organizations – Belgrade Centre for Security Policy, European Movement in Serbia and Belgrade Fund for Political Excellence – the 3rd Belgrade Security Forum (BSF) will take on 19-21 September 2013, under the theme “Is the State under (De) construction? Risks and Responses from the Balkans and Beyond”.
BSF 2013 will address current issues of regional and international security, foreign policy and economy, with special emphasis on the role of state and non-state actors in international relations in transition.
The conference will consist of a series of plenary panels and simultaneously organized thematic sessions.
The conference will be opened with academic event “Transformation of the State and the profession of international security”. This is the final event of the BCSP regional project dealing with the transformation of the Western Balkans conflict zone to the security community. The participants are researchers engaged within the project, as well as emerging scholars and professionals from the region, Europe and America selected on the basis of policy papers and criteria defined in the Call for Papers.
The list of speakers and participants of BSF 2013 includes more than 200 high-level national politicians and international officials, influential experts, researchers and opinion makers from both sides of the Atlantic, as well as key foreign policy and security leaders from the Balkan region.
