EU Enlargement Towards the Western Balkans – seminar in Warsaw
Challenges of EU Integration that Serbia is facing today, the growth of the number of Eurosceptics and economic impact of the crisis on the EU's credibility are topics on which BCSP Director Sonja Stojanovic Gajic will speak at an international conference on the October 15th in Poland.
The Polish Institute of International Affairs, British Embassy in Warsaw, Polish Robert Schuman Foundation, Representation of the European Commission in Poland on 15th of October 2012, are organizing a conference „EU Enlargement Towards the Western Balkans with Presentation of the Enlargement Package“.
From the candidate countries’ perspective at the conference will speak Sonja Stojanovic director of the Belgrade Centre for Security Policy, Fatmir Curri, European Integration Programme Director from Kosovo Civil Society Foundation and Andreja Stojkovski from Macedonian Centre for European Training. Main topics of the discussion will be the role of the EU in resolving the crises (or hot spots) in the region, and influence of the economic crisis on its credibility.
Enlargement from the EU perspective and presentation of the Enlargement Package will also be a part of discussions at the seminar. Victor Bojkov from European Commission and HM Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Serbia Michael Davenport will be some of the speakers at this panel.
