Milica Starinac

Junior Researcher

Milica Starinac was part of the 26th generation of interns at the Belgrade Center for Security Policy, and in February 2023 she joined the team as a junior researcher.

Her research areas include defence, organized crime and parliamentary oversight of the security sector, while during her internship she worked on a project on extremism. Other topics of her interest are regional relations, international organizations and gender equality. She holds a Bachelor degree in international studies from the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Belgrade and is currently a student of the MA programme Peace, Security and Development at the same faculty. During her undergraduate studies, she spent a year on a student exchange at Charles University in Prague.

Before joining BCBP, she worked as a journalist at the European Western Balkans, and she was active in the non-governmental sector for several years, including as a former board member of the European Youth Parliament of Serbia.
