Milica Delević
Member of the Executive Board
Milica Delević is a renowned expert in international relations, politics, and policy, with over 20 years of experience in high-level positions. Born on October 24, 1969, in Belgrade, Serbia, she holds a BA from the University of Belgrade, an MA from the Central European University, and a PhD from the University of Kent, Canterbury. During her studies, she was a Chevening Scholar.
Delević has had a distinguished career, serving as a Member of Parliament in Serbia and as Assistant Foreign Minister. She was Director of the European Integration Office of the Serbian Government and chaired the Committee for European Integration in the Parliament. Currently, she is the Director for Competitiveness, Governance and Political Affairs at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), where she oversees governance and sector reform policies across the Bank’s regions.
Her expertise includes EU integration, governance reform in transition economies, and political economy of the Western Balkans, Ukraine, and Turkey. She is a member of several professional organizations, including the European Council on Foreign Relations and the Balkans in Europe Policy Advisory Group. Delević has been recognized for her contributions, including being named Person of the Year 2009 by Vreme magazine and receiving the Contribution to Europe award in 2008 from the European Movement in Serbia.
As a Member of the Executive Board at Beogradski centar za bezbednosnu politiku, her extensive experience and expertise will contribute significantly to advancing security and governance discussions in the region.
