Belgrade Centre for Security Policy (BCSP) Director Sonja Stojanovic Gajic was again given the highest number of votes for membership in the Joint Consultative Committee in the priority area of the Rule of Law.
There were 154 civil society organizations voting for 8 candidates in three priority areas, and the BCSP Director received the highest number of votes in the priority area of the Rule of Law.
BCSP is grateful to all civil society organizations that sent their vote for Sonja Stojanovic Gajic and thus enabled a significant participation of civil society from Serbia in the decision-making process at the European level.
The Commission for the selection of representatives of civil society organizations for membership in the Joint Consultative Committee adopted on 31 July 2018 the Decision on the proposal of representatives of civil society organizations for membership in the Joint Consultative Committee composed of representatives of the European Economic and Social Committee and representatives of social partners and civil society organizations in the Republic of Serbia.
The EU-Serbia Civil Society Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) brings together representatives of the European Economic and Social Committee and representatives of social partners and civil society organizations in the Republic of Serbia. This mechanism contributes to the participation of civil society in the decision-making process at the European level, as well as the transfer of European values and their promotion in Serbia.
