Dusan Radivojevic is a new member of BCSP research team
New member of BCSP policy research team Dusan Radivojevic will be mostly engaged in the area of accountability and integrity in security sector.
Radivojevic’s engagement with BCSP is realized within the Think Tank Young Professional Development Program, which starts from December 2013 and lasts for six months. Throughout this period, he will work full-time at the BCSP office, engage in ongoing policy research projects and develop concrete policy product in agreement with senior BCSP staff, which will be considered the mentor.
Radivojevic is especially interested in tackling the problem of confidential procurement in Serbian Information Agency and its progress in implementing the integrity plan.
Having obtained an Associate degree in Business Administration from Brookdale Community College, New Jersey in 2003, Radivojevic studied the contemporary politics and history of Southeastern Europe at the University of Toronto. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science & History in June 2007 at the University of Toronto, and in 2010, Radivojevic was awarded a Master degree in European, Russian and Eurasian Studies at the Munk Centre for International Studies, University of Toronto.
Radivojevic has eight years of research experience within academic/government environment and has knowledge of the EU foreign policy and the Western Balkans affairs. He worked for six years at the University of Toronto and an additional two years at the Oxford University Press and European Parliament. During his previous research experience, he analyzed Serbian constitution and the laws regulating oversight and control of the security institutions.
Think Tank Young Professional Development Program enables participating think tanks, such as BCSP, to recruit young researchers originally from the region who recently graduated from universities in the OECD countries, including the Central European University in Hungary.

At the panel discussion “Freedoms Under Pressure: Civil Society and Digital Oversight in Serbia and Abroad”, organised by the Belgrade Centre for Security Policy (BCSP) on 31 October in Belgrade, speakers warned that digital surveillance and spyware use are rapidly becoming tools of political control in Serbia and across Europe, posing severe risks to human rights and democracy.

The Civil Committee for the Protection of Human Rights Defenders and Whistleblowers calls on the competent Public Prosecutor’s Office to immediately act upon information about an alleged plot to assassinate student Pavle Cicvarić, as publicly stated on Informer television by Siniša Vučinić, a member of the Main Board of the Serbian Progressive Party.
