Three Research Associates of CCMR participated in the seminar “Dynamics of Collective Security: NATO in the 21st Century” that was organised by TransConflict Serbia (www.transconflict.com) and Youth Dialogue Programme (www.ydprogramme.org), on July 25 and 26, 2009 at Fruška Gora. Seminar gathered civil society activists and young professionals from different backgrounds, to broaden the debate on the relationship between Serbia and NATO.
Marko Savković opened the floor with the presentation „Concept of International Security and the Evolving Role of NATO“, speaking on how the role of NATO changed in the context of the post Cold War era. Adel Abusara presented on the evolving relationship between NATO and the EU, where he briefly spoke on the development of European Security and Defence Policy, and how its link with NATO has become strained over time. Gorana Odanović also presented CCMR in the work of the seminar.
