Good Governance in Cybersecurity in the Western Balkans

In the framework of the DCAF project, ‘Good Governance in Cybersecurity in the Western Balkans’, funded by the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, studies on gender and cybersecurity will be conducted on six Western Balkans economies: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia.

The purpose of the studies is to contribute to the mapping of gender and cybersecurity existing positive practices and emerging challenges and, to provide a common ground for understanding the impact of the various aspects of cybersecurity governance on women, LGBTIQ and gender non-conforming individuals. These will then become areas of interventions for the follow-up of local partner organizations with relevant local actors.

The papers will explore the state of gender equality in cybersecurity and how good governance of cybersecurity needs gender equality.
