In this policy paper BCSP researcher Katarina Djokic analyses expenditure performance of Serbian Ministry of Defense by looking at the example of the G-4 Super Galeb military trainer aircraft modernization project.

The latest BCSP working study summarizes the key findings of a survey on national security and responses to security threats. The research was conducted from 26 December 2016 until 14 January 2017 on reprezentative sample of 1,403 adult citizens of Serbia (excluding Kosovo).

New analysis of the BCSP points to the insufficiently investigated topic of private detective companies and answers four basic questions: What do we know about detectives in Serbia, what do they actually do, what competencies do they have and how can their work be improved from the point of of law and human rights?

The Ministry of Interior (MoI) allocates about 3 million euros per year to The Academy of Criminalistic and Police Studies (KPA), but a small number of graduates is employed in the police force.
