In addition to commenting on the proposed amendments to the Law on Defense and the Army, the BCSP research team draws attention to already problematic or defective legal solutions.

The new publication of the BCSP research team contains a number of recommendations that are deemed to be realistically applicable and which will influence the improvement of the results of MoI in the field of public procurement performance.

More than half of the population in Serbia (56%) showed trust in the police. Over the last three years, a steady yet small increase in the level of trust in the police has been observed. However, it is still below the global average of 60-90%.These are the main findings of a public opinion survey conducted within the framework of the regional network of civil society organizations POINTPULSE.

The Western Balkans police forces must communicate much more effectively with citizens in order to increase the level of trust and confidence in their work; they also need to adapt the methods and channels of communication to the target groups. This is especially important when it comes to younger generations who, as a rule, have much a more negative perception of the institutions than the older population.

BCSP research team offers recommendations for the improvement of informing citizens on European integration and points out that the existing approach prevents the interested public from following the process of accession negotiations, analyzes, proposes and evaluates been done in the area of EU integration.

The latest Belgrade Centre for Security Policy (BCSP) working study summarizes the key findings of a survey on relations towards major powers and their influence on Serbia and Serbia’s foreign policy. The research was conducted from 26 December 2016 until 14 January 2017 on reprezentative sample of 1,403 adult citizens of Serbia (excluding Kosovo).

The Network of civil society organisations - Women, Peace and Security in the Republic of Serbia gathers 22 civil society organizations, academia and individuals, who are interested in implementation UNSCR 1325 on Women, Peace and Security in Serbia. BCSP is the coordinator of this network.

In this document, prof. dr Bogoljub Milosavljevic proposes legal solutions whose implementation would lead to the normative improvement of the intelligence system of the Republic of Serbia.
