This is the first study of public opinion in realization of civil society organization where the focus is on the perception of corruption in the police, citizens' personal experiences with corruption in the police and evaluation of the reforms of the police in this area.

The majority of citizens in Serbia and Albania support the continuation of the Brussels dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina even if it is not a condition for EU membership, while the most of population of Kosovo and Metohija favors the Dialogue only if it will increase the chances of EU membership. This was highlighted during the presentation of the public opinion research findings in the Media Center on 31st October 2013.

The NATO advanced research workshop reinforced the links between universities and think-tank community, and created a platform for future cooperation of most prominent experts in the field of counter-terrorism policy. The event has given all those involved food for thought on how to best address the issue of terrorist leaders, and produced a series of interesting exchanges and remarks.

The vast majority of citizens think that corruption is a widespread phenomenon in Serbia, but the number of those who believe that the level of corruption decreased a bit is growing while the belief that police is corrupted is very expressed, said representatives of the Belgrade centre for security policy (BCSP) during presentation of the results of public opinion poll „Citizens of Serbia on corruption in police".

The police in Serbia has come a long way since 2001 and new democratic foun-dations have been laid upon which the police can fulfil their duty to serve the country’s citizens. There have been four crucial changes.

Three out of four Serbian citizens think there has been an increase in violence in the last few years. This percentage is particularly alarming in Belgrade (84%) and among young people (82%). Citizens are most concerned with individual violence: bullying in schools, domestic violence, and the violence associated with drug addiction and crime.

Majority of Serbian citizens feel secure, but only 5% of them give credit for that to good work of government bodies. Half of respondents are satisfied with work of the Serbian Army, but 42 % of them are dissatisfied with work of the Judiciary.
