Integration of Civil Protection members in Kosovo, and potential for regional cooperation in emergency management were the main topics of the 8th regional conference within the framework of the project "Security research Forum Belgrade-Prishtina-Tirana".

More than 100 representatives from Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Interior, Security-Intelligence Agency, independent government institutions, many embassies and international organizations in Serbia, as well as students, civil society organizations and media have gathered at conference on integrity in the security sector organized by BCSP.

The answer to stability in the Western Balkans is better cooperation in the triangle Belgrade-Pristina-Tirana, and it could be reached by establishing closer and more direct cooperation and effective communication between Serbian and Kosovo police, it was concluded during the sixth Security Research Forum.

Management of human resources, procurements, and additional work of officers which is incompatible with police work are the main risks of corruption in the police. In order to manage an efficient fight against corruption, it is necessary to depoliticize the police, have a transparent human resource management, and build the integrity of policemen as well as their superiors. It was concluded during the conference: "The risks of corruption in the police force and strengthening the integrity of the police".

The Building Integrity Conference on Institution Building which took place in Oslo from March 3 to March 6, 2014, gathered more than 60 participants from 19 countries to discuss on development and implementation of integrity plans within the defense sector.

Regional conference in Skopje has brought together think tanks from Macedonia, Albania, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro and Croatia.

Monitoring and measuring progress in implementation UNSCR 1325 in Serbia was the subject of presentation held by BCSP researcher Maja Bjelos at the international conference „Enhancing the Women, Peace and Security Agenda in the Euro-Atlantic and Eurasian Region" held in Almaty, Kazakhstan on 11. and 12. November 2013.

The negotiations between Serbia and the European Union shouldn’t be only the matter of experts, it is necessary that the opinion of the whole society is heard in that process, conclusion was at the press conference organised on the occasion of signing of the partnership between France and the coalition "prEUgovor".

Serbia has made progress in terms of policies and institutions for the implementation of the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325, but still has to work on achieving the goals in the practice, conclusion was of the conference on the implementation of the National Action Plan (NAP) on UNSCR 1325 in Serbia. This event was organised by the Belgrade Centre for Security Policy (BCSP), in cooperation with the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women).
