Main challanges in peacekeeping mission UNFICYP in Cyprus are of civil charachter and they reflect the need for various civli expertise in peacekeeping missions. That is the main conclusion of study visit which BCSP has organized for representatives of state institutions and civil society from Western Balkans countries.

Laura Garavini, MP of the Italian Parliament and the founder of the initiative "Mafia? Nein, danke!" and Riccardo Guido, advisor to the Anti-mafia Parliamentary Committee in the Italian Parliament, were panellists at the discussion Belgrade Centre for Security Policy (BCSP) organized with the support of the OSCE Mission to Serbia.

This publication is published by Belgrade Centre for Security Policy (BCSP), Belgrade Centre for Human Rights (BCHR) and Centre for Development Policy and Co-operation (CDPC), with the support of the OSCE Mission to Serbia.

The authors of eight Collection propose recommendations for improvement of the fight against corruption in the police, the realization of the concept of community policing and upgrading the role of the police in the exercise of and respect for the rights of vulnerable groups.
