What has changed in the interpretation of biggest threats to Serbia's security and answers to them in the new proposed National Security Strategy and Defence Strategy is analysed by BCSP researcher Jelena Pejic Nikic.

This publication focuses on challenges in cooperation between governments and civil society organizations in the Western Balkan countries in six selected areas covered by chapters 23 and 24 of the accession negotiations with the European Union: effective monitoring of the implementation of action plans and strategies; human rights issues; migration and asylum policies; the judiciary and justice system; anti-corruption policies and activities; and civic education.

Republic of Serbia has ratified most of the international documents important to improving women’s human rights and also adopted a great number of strategies dealing with that area, but strategic documents and action plans for their implementation are not harmonized enough, it was concluded in the Security Council Resolution 1325: Civil Society Monitoring Report 2013.
